2. establish the scientific spirit of seeking truth from facts and innovation, master the solid basic theories and systematic expertise of transportation planning and management disciplines; master the necessary experimental skills; have the necessary social practice experience, the ability to engage in scientific research and the ability to independently undertake specialized technical work.

3. Mastery of a foreign language and proficiency in transportation planning and management.

4. Have a healthy physique。

II. Research Direction

The research directions, the main contents of the research directions and the leaders of the research directions of the transportation planning and management major are listed in the attached Table 1.

III. Length of Study and Time Allocation

1. Based on the credit system, the study period is 3 years. The total number of credits is 32 (18 credits for required courses and 14 credits for electives). The total number of credits is 32 (18 credits for compulsory courses and 14 credits for elective courses), and the time for graduation can be postponed if necessary, but not more than one year. The examination of the degree courses is based on the system of re-taking and re-examination, and students who have passed the examination and obtained the corresponding degree must obtain all credits before submitting the defense. The examination of degree courses must be conducted in the form of examinations and the grades are graded in percentages. The elective courses are determined by whether they are examinations or examinations according to specific situations, and in general they are examinations.

2. The course of study and the dissertation work take about three semesters each. The course of study and the dissertation work can be carried out in parallel, and only after completing the required credits can you apply for the dissertation defense.

3. Master's degree students should spend at least one year on scientific research and thesis writing.

IV. Curriculum and Time Requirements

See Schedule II for course offerings, course hours, and start times.

V. Literature Reading

Reading and reporting of professional literature is an effective means for master's students to understand the frontier of the discipline and grasp the development of the discipline, as well as an important part of cultivating their ability to acquire knowledge independently. Therefore, master's students are required to read at least 40 pieces of professional literature and write a literature reading report, which will be reviewed by the instructor and assessed by the assessment team to determine whether they are qualified. Those who pass the reading report will receive one required credit at the end of the third semester.

VI. Opening Report

Through literature reading and academic research, under the guidance of the supervisor, master's students should decide the topic of their dissertation as early as possible and give a dissertation proposal at the beginning of the fourth semester. The dissertation will be written in the prescribed format and publicly reported, and will be evaluated by a professional evaluation panel. Those who pass the exam will receive one required credit before they can work on their thesis. Those who fail the exam will be required to rewrite the thesis report.

VII. Lectures on academic progress

Attend two or more lectures on the latest research advances in the discipline and submit a study report or summary.

VIII. Mid-term examination

In the fifth semester, a professional evaluation team will conduct a mid-term evaluation of the dissertation work of master's students, mainly to check the progress of the dissertation and give guidance to those who fail to pass the evaluation and postpone the dissertation defense.

IX. Thesis Work

The work of the dissertation should be interspersed with the course work, and the total time spent on scientific research and dissertation writing for master's students should be at least one year. The supervisor should keep track of the progress of the dissertation work and make timely and necessary adjustments to the dissertation work plan according to the actual needs. The specific requirements of master's thesis are in accordance with the regulations of the university.
