The research aims at the technical bottlenecks about the traffic efficiency and safety which our country’s road traffic field needs to be solved urgently, combining with Jilin University’s outstanding advantages on road traffic, automobiles, communication, computer and other subject fields, draw a bead on international frontiers and carry out research around three research directions with core techniques of road traffic information and automatization.
Research direction 1: Road traffic dynamic guidance
The research direction improves the efficiency of road traffic as the core goal, studying large amounts of traffic information collecting, processing and organizing technology, further enhancing induced dynamic traffic and public transit intelligent level of theory and technology, establishing road traffic dynamic induced innovation platform, forming the achievements of core techniques with independent intellectual property that the overall reach the domestic first-class level and some achievements reach the international advanced level. The main contents of the construction include dynamic traffic data acquisition and processing technology; integrated Spatio-temporal data organization technology; theory and technology of dynamic traffic guidance; intelligent technology of public transportation.
Research direction 2: Road traffic organization and control
The research direction is to study network traffic flow optimization theory and road traffic system optimization design, control and simulation technology, establishing the system of mixed traffic flow organization and control method, building road traffic organization and control test platform, and developing a traffic control system with independent intellectual property rights. The main contents of construction include road traffic organization; road traffic optimization control; road traffic system simulation.
Research direction 3: Vehicle operation safety technology.
The research direction is to improve vehicle safety, studying information perception technology, vehicle traffic environment and driver behavior monitoring technology, traffic accident reappearance and 3d simulation technology, establishing vehicle running safety simulation system, building the vehicle running safety technology development platform, forming with independent intellectual property rights of core technology. The main contents of the construction include autonomous vehicle navigation technology and vehicle running safety simulation technology.
